Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2, 2026. This policy explains how VidSfy (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use our Android app and this website.
1. Who we are
VidSfy is an Android video editing application (package name: com.example.vidsfy). For privacy questions contact orbitocp@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile details permitted by Google Sign-In / Credential Manager (such as name, email, and profile image URL). When you use email OTP sign-in, we process your email address to send a one-time verification code.
App usage & device data
We may process technical information required to operate the app, such as device model, Android version, crash diagnostics, and permission states (camera, microphone, storage/media) that you grant.
Media you create
Videos you record, import, edit, or export are processed on your device to provide editing features. We do not sell your media. Unless you explicitly upload content to a server feature we introduce and disclose separately, project media remains under your device control.
Website
If you email us or submit a contact form, we receive the message content and contact details you provide so we can respond.
3. How we use information
- Provide authentication and keep you signed in on the device
- Deliver recording, editing, and export features
- Send OTP codes for email verification
- Respond to support requests
- Improve reliability and fix bugs
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your region, we rely on performance of a contract (providing the app), your consent (e.g., optional permissions), and legitimate interests (security, product improvement) that do not override your rights.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share data with:
- Google — for Google Sign-In authentication
- Email delivery providers — to send OTP / support-related messages
- Service providers — hosting or analytics if enabled, under confidentiality obligations
- Authorities — when required by law
6. Permissions
VidSfy may request camera, microphone, and media/storage access to record and save videos. You can revoke permissions in Android Settings; some features will stop working until restored.
7. Retention
Account identifiers and support emails are retained only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Local projects remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app (which may remove local data).
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account-related data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Children’s privacy
VidSfy is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Your rights & account deletion
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or object to certain processing. To request deletion of your VidSfy account and associated server-side account data, follow the instructions on our Delete Account page or email orbitocp@gmail.com.
11. International transfers
If you use Google Sign-In or email services, processing may occur in countries where those providers operate. Appropriate safeguards are applied where required.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you acknowledge the updated policy.
