Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

VidSfy is an Android video editing application (package name: com.bdappstar.vidsfy). For privacy questions contact talgovision@gmail.com.

2. Authentication options

You can sign in to VidSfy using:

• Google Sign-In — via Google Credential Manager / One Tap
• Email OTP Sign-In — we send a one-time password to verify your email address

New email users receive a welcome message that includes their OTP. After your email is verified once, returning email logins may skip OTP unless additional security checks apply. Verified accounts remain under your control and can be deleted on request.

3. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile details permitted by Google Sign-In (such as name, email, and profile image URL). When you use email OTP sign-in, we process and store your email address to create or locate your account and send verification codes.

IP-derived place data

During sign-in, our servers may determine your approximate city and country from your public IP address. We may also store that IP address with your account for authentication, account management, personalization, service improvement, fraud/abuse prevention, and related legitimate app functions. The Android app does not request GPS or device location permission for login.

App usage & device data

We may process technical information required to operate the app, such as device model, Android version, crash diagnostics, login IP address, optional device descriptors, and permission states (camera, microphone, storage/media, location) that you grant.

Media you create

Videos you record, import, edit, or export are processed on your device to provide editing features. We do not sell your media. Unless you explicitly upload content to a server feature we introduce and disclose separately, project media remains under your device control.

Website

If you email us or submit a contact form, we receive the message content and contact details you provide so we can respond.

4. How we use information

• Provide authentication and keep you signed in on the device
• Create and manage your VidSfy account
• Send OTP and welcome emails for email verification
• Store city/country for personalization and service improvement
• Deliver recording, editing, and export features
• Respond to support and privacy requests
• Improve reliability, security, and fix bugs
• Comply with legal obligations

5. Legal bases (where applicable)

Depending on your region, we rely on performance of a contract (providing the app), your consent (e.g., optional permissions and sign-in), and legitimate interests (security, account integrity, product improvement) that do not override your rights.

6. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share data with:

• Google — for Google Sign-In authentication
• Email delivery providers — to send OTP, welcome, and support-related messages
• Service providers — hosting or analytics if enabled, under confidentiality obligations
• Authorities — when required by law

7. Permissions

VidSfy may request camera, microphone, and media/storage access for recording and editing. Sign-in does not require device location permission; approximate city and country may be derived from your IP address on our servers. You can revoke app permissions in Android Settings; some features will stop working until restored.

8. Retention

Account identifiers, city/country, login metadata, OTP verification records, and support emails are retained only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Local projects remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app (which may remove local data).

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account-related data, including hashed OTP storage, expiration limits, and rate limiting. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Children’s privacy

VidSfy is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Your rights & account deletion

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or object to certain processing. To request deletion of your VidSfy account and associated server-side account data, follow the instructions on our Delete Account page or email talgovision@gmail.com.

12. International transfers

If you use Google Sign-In or email services, processing may occur in countries where those providers operate. Appropriate safeguards are applied where required.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you acknowledge the updated policy.
